If Motorola can't rewrite Timbuktu, it should shut down the Mac development side, since it's useless in all environments except those that allow users to have admin rights. It's not only old, it relies on depreciated process management (/Library/StartupItems) and has no clue about GateKeeper. Over the years since, they've released patches to try to keep this blob of archaic code relevant enough to continue to generate revenue. Timbuktu Pro was a plug-in for NetOctopus. When Motorola bought Netopia, they killed NetOctopus, but they kept one guy on staff to keep Timbuktu Pro on life support.
